Current / Proposed Business SMPL is engaged in the business of printing, publishing
and marketing of Gfiles. Gfiles is India’s first magazine on bureaucracy- which
provides continuity and stability to the nation’s governance. The monthly magazine,
first of its kind since Independence, covers all such issues that relates to governance
in this country. SMPL has established Gfiles as a brand in about two years. It has
been received with enormous enthusiasm among the top echelons of bureaucracy.
Going by the feedback, Gfiles is considered as the exclusive ‘bureaucrats’ club
magazine’. Besides successful testing of the product in this era of tough competition,
the product itself has achieved financial break-even.
Gfiles is mailed to and read by 604 District Magistrates (DMs), 604 Senior Superintendent
of Police (SSPs), 604 SPs, All Joint Secretaries in every State of India, and about
600 MPs who are conversant with English, All Union Ministers and their private Secretaries,
and all the Secretaries to the Government of India. Gfiles cover 100% of States
of Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu as far as circulation is
concerned.
