29 Joint Secretary level officers reshuffled in the govt of India

October 2024: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) effected a major reshuffle at Joint Secretary/Joint Secretary equivalent level posts i.e. at Level 14 of the Pay Matrix. The names of the newly appointed officers are as follows:
Chauhan Sarita Chand (IAS: 1999: UT) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances for a tenure of five years up to 25.04.2028 vice N B S Rajput (IAS: 1999: OD).
Deepak Agarwal (IAS: 2000: UP) has been appointed as Managing Director (JS level), National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India (NAFED), under the Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, for a tenure of five years up to 11.10.2027 vice Rajbir Singh Panwar (IFoS: 1991: GJ). Currently, he is JS, MoHUA.
Rama Shankar Sinha (IFoS: 1995: UT) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying, till his retirement on 30.11.2027 vice O P Chaudhary (IFoS: 1989: MP).
Monalisa Dash (IFoS: 2003: SK) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH for a tenure of five years up to 11.10.2026 vice Bishwajit Kumar Singh (IFoS: 1989: UT).
Kesang Yangzom Sherpa (IRS lT:1995) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Commerce for an overall tenure of five years up to 14.10.2025 vice Indu C Nair (IRAS: 2001).
Mohit Yadav (IFS:2002) was appointed as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) (Joint Secretary level), Department of Commerce for a tenure of three years vice Srikar K. Reddy, IFS (2001).
Premjit Lal (ITS: 1992) was appointed as Executive Director, India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITP0), under the Department of Commerce for a tenure up to the date of superannuation on 30.06.2028 vice Rajat Agarwal (IAS: 2003: PB).
Balamurugan D (IAS: 2005: BH) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs for an overall tenure of five years ending 08.05.2028 vice Manoj Pandey (IRS IT:1992).
Garima Bhagat (IRS IT: 1996) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Defence Production for a tenure of five years vice Anurag Bajpai (IFoS:1994: MN).
Niraj Kumar, CSS, has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Development of Northeastern Region for a tenure of five years vice Monalisa Dash (IFoS: 2003: SK).
Manmeet Kaur Nanda (lAS: 2000: WB) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, with an extension of central deputation tenure for a period of one year beyond 10.11.2024 vice Rajesh Kumar Yadav (IAS: 1996: RJ).
Rajat Agarwal (IAS: 2003: PB) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change for an overall tenure of five years up to 13.02.2028.
Ved Prakash Mishra (IRS IT:2004) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change for an overall tenure of five years up to 31 .03.2026 by upgrading a post of Director held by the officer.
C Shikha (IAS: 2004: KN) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Food & Public Distribution for a tenure of five years vice N Gulzar (IAS: 1999: AP).
Sangeet (IDAS: 2004) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Food & Public Distribution for a combined tenure of six years up to 12.03.2025 by upgrading a post of Director held by the officer.
Ravi Kumar (IRSME: 1992) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Heavy Industries for a combined tenure of seven years up to 10.01 .2026 vice Mukta Shekhar (IRAS: 1994) by cancelling the earlier appointment of Sudhanshu Panwar (IRSME: 1997).
Raj Kumar (IA&AS: 1999) was appointed as Director (Finance), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) under the Ministry of Home Affairs for a tenure of five years vice Dhananjay Kumar (IDAS: 1993).
Praveen Kumar Rai (IDAS: 2003) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, for a combined tenure of seven years up to 16.08.2026 vice Ashish Kumar (IAS: 2005: TN).
Rakesh Kumar Pandey (IDAS: 2003) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, for a combined tenure of seven years up to 13.05.2025 vice Shyamal Misra (IAS: 1996: HY).
Rajesh Gupta (IRSEE: 2001) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, for an overall tenure of five years up to 15.04.2026 vice Sumant Singh (IAS: 2003: MN).
Ajoy Sharma (IAS: 1999: PB) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Labour & Employment, for a tenure of five years by downgrading a post of Additional Secretary.
Dinesh Mahur (ITS: 1992) was appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Mines, for a tenure of five years or up to the date of superannuation on 31.12.2029 vice Veena Kumar Dermal (IPoS: 1998).
P Bala Kiran (IAS: 2008: KL) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Personnel & Training for an overall tenure of five years up to 28.02.2026 vice Rajat Kumar (IAS:2005: CG).
Anjan Kumar Mishra (IOFS: 1998), has been appointed as Secretary, Petroleum & Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB), under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, for a tenure of five years vice Vandana Sharma, CSS.
Mukesh Mangal (ITS: 1992) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways, up to the date of Superannuation on 30.11.2028 vice Sushil Kumar Singh (IRSME: 1993).
Gurneet Tej (IAS: 2006: KN) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department for Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade for a tenure of five years vice Balamurugan 0 (IAS:2005: BH).
Abhilasha Jha Misra (IRAS: 2000), has been appointed for an overall tenure of five years under Central Staffing Scheme and for a tenure of four years as Member Secretary (JS level), National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) under the Department of School Education & Literacy as permissible under the NCTE Act, vice Kesang Yangzom Sherpa (IRS lT:1995).
Amit Nirmal (ISS: 2001) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, National Commission for Scheduled Tribes (NCST) under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs for a tenure of five years vice K Tout hang, CSS.
Bhavna Saxena (IPS: 1996: AP) has been appointed as CEO, Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA) under the Ministry of Women & Child Development, for an overall tenure of five years up to 15.02.2027.
