Who runs the Delhi Government headed by Arvind Kejriwal? Of course, Kejriwal himself. But he is running it in a different style compared to other Chief Ministers who run their states with favourite bureaucrats. Kejriwal has evolved a new strategy for Delhi, and senior IAS officers are not amused by the way the government is functioning. Most of the senior IAS officers have been sidelined in Kejriwal’s new system. It appears that he has posted DANICS (Delhi Andaman Nicobar IslandsCivil Services) officers in non-core ministries and departments. The core ministries have been allotted to a few senior IAS officers. DANICS officers do not create many problems and the file moves to the top here Kejriwal has already appointed his trusted senior officers. It is reported that the Aam Aadmi Party government is being run by Rajendra Kumar, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Chetan Bhushan Sanghi, Secretary, Urban Development and Local Bodies (Sanghi has the maximum departments under his office), Sanjiv Nandan Sahay, Home Secretary , and C Arvind, Secretary to the Deputy Chief Minister. Other senior and experienced officers have simply been sidelined or posted in non-significant departments.
