An alumnus of Delhi University, Dubey entered Parliament in 2009 from Godda district in Jharkhand. Dubey has very close connections with a Mumbai business conglomerate (not Reliance). While managing the facilitation work of the business house during this period, he developed a close relationship with an official who was then the Secretary of a sensitive Ministry. The said official is now among the top functionaries in the Prime Minister’s Office. Dubey never hid his relationship, especially from bureaucrats. The business houses that don’t have any inroads to the Prime Minister’s Office are now reportedly contacting Dubey. He is happy with his new-found status among the powerful.
