Son rise in North Block

What happens when a civil servant becomes a secretary of the government in North Block, the power hub of India? Obviously, he or she becomes very busy and most of the times is on call by political bosses. There is one powerful secretary in North Block who has the right connections with politicians and business tycoons in Chhattisgarh. He is running the ministry smoothly with fervour and un-biasedness. This secretary is like most secretaries who try to appear that they are not courted by vested interests. North Block is such a powerful place that lobbyists and facilitators make their way irrespective of their dislike for civil servants. The grapevine in North Block is that the secretary in question has been reportedly engaged by a multinational financial consultancy firm by appointing his son on a hefty salary of Rs 1.5 crore. The MNC has not engaged the son in any serious project till now and he is supposedly under training. Surprisingly the secretary is known to be vehemently against private companies interacting or perceived as an extension of the government arm.
