Central government employees’ wages
are less than what is admissible and are
not comparable to Public Sector
Undertakings and the private sector.It is
sad that the media always terms govern
ment employees babus without realizing
that there are other staff too.
We have almost five lakh employees in
railways, ordnance factories, telecom
and the postal department with two dif
ferent sets of workers – one in South and
North Blocks, and the other in the
departments of the Comptroller and
Auditor General, and the revenue and
