THERE is a lifelong association between students and their alma mater. Doon School has its own aura and sensibilities and old boys are always proud to announce their association with the reputed institution. Doon School alumnus and former Central Minister from the Congress Party, RPN Singh is no exception. He was in London on a vacation when he organised a party for his former school mates. Nearly 125 alumni were invited. Incidentally, Vasundhara Raje’s son and MP, Dushyant Singh, also happened to be in London at the time. He is also from Doon School so RPN Singh sent an invite to him as well. Dushyant did come to the party and stayed for a long time but a number of people who planned to attend the party backed out. Finally, only 30-35 people made it. On one hand, the Congress Party’s Rahul Gandhi is fighting in Parliament for the ouster of Vasundhara Raje, and, on the other, his party members are hosting galas and inviting her kin!
